Q: How many levels of care are offered?
A: We offer both independent and assisted living with nursing home and rehabilitation available on the property.
Q: Is there a deposit required and, if so, is it refundable and when is it refunded?
A: The deposit is equal to one month's rent and is refundable per lease agreement stipulations within 90 days of move-out.
Q: How long is the lease? A: Leases are signed each year on January 1st. 90 days notice of move out required.
Q: How long will an apartment be held if I leave a deposit? A: 30 days.
Q: If I break my lease, is notice required, and will I lose my deposit? A: Applicable notice is required for deposit refund.
Q: Who owns the community and for how long?
A: SantaFe Health Care, has owned Bayview Gardens for four years.
Q: Is staff available 24/7? A: Yes.
Q: What transportation is offered? A: Unlimited transportation to medical appointments; grocery trips and outings.
Q: What about church services? A: We provide transportation to numerous churches in the area and also offer services in our Chapel.
Q: Is there a Resident Council. A: Yes.
Q: Are guest rooms available. A: Yes.
Q: My children want to stay with me in my apartment for several weeks, is there an additional cost? A: No.
Q: Do you offer activities for residents? A: Yes, there is always something fun to enjoy.
Q: What are the costs of additional meals and services? A: Breakfast $4.25; lunch/dinner $7.50; additional housekeeping $12/hr., additional maintenance $15/hr., private escort for transportation $18/hr.
Q: What is NOT included in services? A: Personal laundry, beauty/barber shop and long distance telephone calls.
Q: How many choices are there on the daily menu? A: Four entrees.
Q: What are the dining room hours? A: Independent and assisted living breakfast 7:30a-9:30a; independent living lunch/dinner 11:30a-6:00p; assisted living lunch 11:30a-1:30p; assisted living dinner 4:00p-5:30p.
Q: What's the standard dress code for dinner? A: Casual dining, no ties or jackets required.
Q: Is there assigned seating in the dining room? A: Not for independent living, but there is for assisted living.
Q: Are Resident and Family Satisfaction Surveys sent and, if so, how often? A: Yes, twice a year.
Q: Are pets allowed? A: Yes, up to 30 pounds.
Q: Is tipping allowed? A: No, but there is an Employee Gift Fund in place.
Q: If I go to the hospital, will you call my family? A: Yes.
Q: What happens if I run out of money?
A: We will assist independent living residents in downsizing to a smaller apartment and assist assisted living residents in applying for the diversion plan or VA benefits. |
